The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that moderate to heavy intensity rain will flush the entire Jakarta area this afternoon, Thursday (4/1).

Be aware of rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds in East Jakarta, North Jakarta, Central Jakarta in the late afternoon

BMKG warned of the possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds in the early hours of the morning in Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands. Residents are urged to be aware of flood alert in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and North Jakarta.

In the afternoon, rain with moderate intensity is about to fall in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta; while heavy rain accompanied by thunder in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands.

"Be aware of rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds in East Jakarta, North Jakarta, Central Jakarta in the late afternoon. The same weather will also hit Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands at dawn," stated BMKG's official site.

At night, light rain is expected in Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and Seribu Islands; while cloudy in other areas.

Entering dawn, light rain will hit all areas of Jakarta.

Jakarta's temperature today ranges from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius with humidity around 85 to 95 percent.
