Nevertheless, residents are urged to remain vigilant about the potential impact of this extreme weather, namely a hydrometeorological disaster.

BMKG Public Meteorology Center Head, Fachri Radjab said that rain with moderate to heavy and even very heavy intensity could still hit Greater Jakarta until early January 2023.

"Rain with heavy to very heavy intensity has the potential to occur on December 30," he stated.

He explained the extreme rain that led to a violent storm that occurred on December 28 made several people worried about the disaster. This term was mentioned, thus people have the same view of the terminology.

"A storm according to meteorological terminology is a series of heavy rains and strong winds which are usually associated with tropical cyclones or strong winds accompanying severe weather with speeds of around 64-72 knots," he explained.
