I Agree with PBB Elimination Discourse, Djarot Says

Jakarta Provincial Government welcomes the discourse of the property tax (PBB) elimination as long as it is well studied and well-targeted.

 I agree with the discourse as long as the implementation is on target

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat said, Although the capital has no natural resources (SDA)  and depends on the city revenue (PAD) in property tax, his side still supports the property tax elimination for non-luxury residences.

"Jakarta has no natural resources, so we depend on property tax for our revenue. But, I agree with the discourse as long as the implementation is on target," said Djarot, after submission of Rural and Urban Income Tax Payable (SPPT), at City Hall, Wednesday (2/18).

Djarot added, Jakarta Provincial Government targeted the revenue from property tax to reach Rp 8 trillion. The amount increased to 23 percent compared by last year of Rp 6.5 trillion.

To reach the target, Djarot asked to all taxpayer to pay their obligations because they have gain the advantage during their stay in Jakarta.

"I mentioned they who live here, enjoy their wealth from here to pay the tax in order to help our country, to help our people," he uttered.

Djarot also promised the tax paid by taxpayer will be used for the citizen's benefit.
