Satpol PP: 100 Bottles of Liquor Seized in Pulo Gadung

Approaching the holy month of Ramadan, around 45 joint personnel confiscated 100 liquor bottles in the raid held in Pulo Gadung Sub-district, East Jakarta, Monday (3/20) night.

We anticipate that alcohol won't trigger brawls or other social ills

Those personnel consisted of Pulo Gadung Sub-district Satpol PP, Matraman, Satpol PP at city level, police, army (TNI), and East Jakarta Social Sub-agency.

"This raid is done to follow up on the public report about stalls that sell liquor," expressee Pulo Gadung Sub-district Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Andik Sukaryanto, Tuesday (3/21).

He explained the 100 liquor bottles were netted from stalls on Jalan Layur, Jalan Bangunan Barat, Jalan Kayu Mas Selatan, and Jalan Kayu Mas Raya.

Besides worrying residents, the sale of alcohol was also not accompanied by permits according to regulations. Seeing this case, it was thought to trigger community vulnerabilities.

"Especially before this fasting month, we anticipate that alcohol won't trigger brawls or other social ills that will disturb the holy month of Ramadan," he stated.
