Jakarta Civil Servants' to Work Half Days During Ramadan

Jakarta's civil servants (ASN) will be able to go home early during Ramadan.

I hope the new working hours do not disrupt our services for Jakartans

Jakarta BKD Head, Maria Qibtya has issued a Gubernatorial Decree No. 299/2023 on Working Hours During the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 Hijri.

Civil servants should be present at the office at 7 AM and will be allowed to go home at 2 PM with break time from 12 PM to12.30 PM. The regulations apply from Monday to Thursday.

"On Friday, they should be at work by 7 AM and leave at 2:30 PM with break time from 11.30 AM to12.30 PM," she expressed, Monday (3/20).

Then those on duty 24 hours a day at the hospital, Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), and Satpol PP can set working hours in shifts.

"For teachers or school caretakers under the auspices of the Jakarta Education Agency, each regional apparatus or work unit can set hours by regional apparatus," she explained.

She called on all employees to maintain their performance while fasting

"I hope the new working hours do not disrupt our services for Jakartans," she stressed.

She also asked the mayor or regent, sub-district head and urban village head to ensure that services to residents continue to run optimally during Ramadan.

"So, always maintain yout health and enthusiasm. Happy fasting worship for those who run it," she closed.
