Dinkes Launches Jakarta Move to Overcome Stunting and Tuberculosis

The Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) launched Jakarta Move to Overcome Stunting and Tuberculosis (Beraksi), as well as commemoration of 2023 World Tuberculosis Day (HTBS) at Albo Flat, Cakung, East Jakarta.

Hopefully, the stunting rate will decrease

Jakarta Dinkes Head, Widyastuti said it is part of the collaboration to tackle stunting and tuberculosis in children which have to be scrutinized and resolved together.

"Today we, together with all the stakeholders present are committed to tackling the problem of stunting and tuberculosis together," she expressed, Tuesday (3/21).

She explained the handling of stunting and tuberculosis in children keeps being intensified starting from screening and health education for children and adolescents, prospective brides, after marriage to having children aged 0-6.

Her party targets the stunting rate in Jakarta to be 14.8 percent in 2022 and it can decrease this year according to the direction of Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono.

"Hopefully, the stunting rate will decrease and Jakarta people's health will be maintained from an early age," she stated.
