Heru Monitors Mobile Cheap Food at Kecapi RPTRA

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, inspected the Mobile Cheap Food activities at Kecapi RPTRA, Kebagusan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Friday (4/14).

Mobile Cheap Food is a national program to bring strategic products or commodities closer to the community in order to meet basic and supporting needs, especially ahead of Idul Fitri 1444 Hijri.

"This is one of the activities to help provide groceries through a bazaar. All prices here are below market rates. And of course for locals," he expressed.

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Agency (KPKP) Head, Suharini Eliawati said Jakarta Provincial Government provided access to strategic food prices and availability to the community to control inflation. One of them is by organizing Mobile Cheap Food as a form of support for the Cheap Food Movement.

"Because until April 29, we still have mobile cheap food schedules. The moment is right now for Idul Fitri. Later after, when most of the traders are going home, this is the anticipation that after Idul Fitri, Jakarta will have a shortage of stock," she explained.

She explained cheap food activities are routinely carried out by the Jakarta Government every year in various locations that residents can easily access. In fact, before the HBKN, the frequency was increased.

Therefore, people should not panic buying and carry out wholesale actions. It is ensured that the Jakarta Government is present in synergy with the central government in fulfilling efforts to provide the community's basic needs.

"Normally, these 19 activities are up to 38 times, even close to Idul Fitri up to 68 location points which are also supported by food BUMD. What is being sold is the basic needs of the community, there are strategic foods and their supporters such as flour syrup biscuits," she uttered.
