310 Joint Officers Gear Up to Secure Idul Fitri Celebrations in Seribu Islands

As many as 310 joint personnel of police, army, Satpol PP, Transportation Agency, KSOP, Health Sub-agency, sub-district head and urban village head took part in a ceremony for securing Idul Fitri prayers in the Seribu Islands Resort Police yard, Marina Ancol, North Jakarta.

We are strengthening the posts on the island

Seribu Islands Vice Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan stated his party supported security and joint patrol activities initiated by the police.

"The characteristics of our region are different than those on land. So, we are strengthening the posts on the island, especially at the wharf, the officer will give an appeal to travelers and tourists," he said, Monday (4/17).

Jakartans Appreciate Free Mudik Trips Program

Besides securing the mudik flow, the officers would also guard the territorial waters during Idul Fitri prayers, up to its celebrations.

"We also anticipate tourists who are going on vacation to remain careful and monitor weather conditions. In addition, for tourists visiting the island to maintain cleanliness," he continued.

Seribu Islands Resort Police Chief, AKBp Ary Sudrahat explained this joint ceremony is a concrete manifestation of the synergy of his staff with other elements in securing mudik flow and Idul Fitri celebrations. Currently, there are five 24-hour security posts spread across the Seribu Islands.

"The total number of joint officers on call and standby on the island is 310 people with two security posts in the south area and three posts in the north area," he explained.

He also urged residents who have mobility from land to the island to keep anticipating weather conditions. Likewise, ship owners are asked to maintain the airworthiness of their ships, thus visitors who come to Seribu Islands feel safe and comfortable when crossing.

"By the mandate of the National Police Chief and the Regional Police Chief, people visiting the island must maintain safety in any weather conditions," he stressed.
