Construction of Five Infiltration Wells on Tidung Island Reaches 60 Percent

The five infiltration wells contruction located on Tidung Besar Island, RT 07/02, South Seribu Islands which began on March 2, 2023 has reached 60 percent.

The distance between these wells varies around 8-12 meters

Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Hendri said the five infiltration wells are connected to one another using eight and six inch PVC pipes.

"The distance between these wells varies around 8-12 meters with each size 60x40x60 centimeters," he said, Sunday (4/30).

Construction of 21 Infiltration Wells on Lancang Island Completed

He explained that those wells are made manually by involving 10 officers. By the end of the month, three wells had been completed.

"These wells are built in areas prone to flood," he expressed.

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Hafsah stated the infiltration wells are built to follow up on residents' request. They also function to store water reserves during droughts.

"I appreciate the Water Resources (SDA) personnel who are quick to follow up on residents' requests," he closed.
