Parking Lot at Duri Pulo Abandoned

During today, parking lot at Gang Makmur, RT 04/05, Duri Pulo Urban Village, Gambir cannot be used. However, the land was planned to be used as parking lot since 2013. As a result, illegal parking is still visible under Roxy flyover.

We expected the area can accommodate around 1,000 motorcycles per day, so there will be no more illegal parking

Based on beritajakarta.com report, the area is still covered by shrubs.

Head of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-department, Muslim admitted, the land was intended to overcome the illegal parking in the area.

Tanah Abang & Roxy Areas will Be Controlled

"It is under Department's authority, we also wonder why the result is different from the plan. Actually, I have report it to the mayor, but still have no response. Because of that, we will hold observation and send the result to Jakarta Transportation Department," he uttered, Saturday (2/28).

Moreover, Muslim continued, he deeply regrets the lack of response due to the problem because his side must conduct raids under Roxy flyover every day, and the area can become the parking solution in the area.

"We expected the area can accommodate around 1,000 motorcycles per day, so there will be no more illegal parking. Moreover, we also do traffic engineering by install MCB (movable concrete barrier) and other," he said.
