Kalideres Terminal's Park and Ride Installs Five CCTV Cameras for Tighter Security

To increase the safety and comfort of vehicle owners, Park and Ride Terminal Kalideres, West Jakarta has installed five CCTV cameras in the parking area for two- and four-wheeled vehicles.

PT BCI Operational Manager, Herman said that his party continues to make improvement thus vehicle owners parked at Kalideres Park and Ride Terminal feel safe and comfortable. The five CCTV cameras installed today were on the first floor area with three cameras and on the second floor area, precisely in the second floor parking area.

"We have just operated Park and Ride at Kalideres Terminal and have yet to install CCTV in the parking area so there has been a case of missing motorcycle batteries which was busy on social media. Seeing this case, we immediately installed five CCTV cameras in the motorcycle and car parking areas," he expressed, Friday (5/12 ).

Since the terminal was operated, the vehicle security has been carried out with a computerized system via CCTV cameras. However, these cameras were only at the entrance and exit gates where theybwere only for recording vehicles entering and leaving the park and ride. In addition, officers also routinely carry out patrols by going around every 20 minutes.

Regarding the loss of a battery experienced by a vehicle owner, his party received a report and immediately responded to the information. At that time, the person who reported was not the vehicle owner but his/her partner.

For a dossier filling, the parking attendant was instructed to immediately bring in the vehicle owner. However, until the case became public on social media, the person concerned never came to make a report.

According to the policy, if the battery, mirrors, and others were lost, his party would replace them through insurance. In order for the case to be resolved today, his party summoned the person who reported the incident, including the vehicle owner.

"With the installation of CCTV, Kalideres Park and Ride Terminal is now safer and more comfortable," he added.

Kalideres AKAP Bus Terminal Head, Revi Zulkarnaen added the authority for Kalideres Park and Ride Terminal lies in the Jakarta Transportation Agency Parking Technical Unit, whose management is carried out by PT BCI. Back to the case, his party had responded by coordinating with Kalideres Police to carry out direct checks.

"Not long after the incident, we immediately carried out sweeping in the terminal area. Hopefully, in the future, the terminal area and Kalideres Park and Ride Terminal will be safer and more comfortable," he uttered.
