The Betawi Association Trust Assembly (MAPKB) will celebrate the annual Lebaran Betawi Festival 1444 Hijri in the Selatan Monas area, Central Jakarta on May 20 - 21, 2023.

"Lebaran Betawi is an activity of local wisdom from the Betawian people in welcoming Idul Fitri," expressed Betawi Association Trusteeship Council Deputy Chairman, Riano P Ahmad, Wednesday (5/17).

According to him, the Betawi cultural arts performances would be shown at the Betawi Lebaran event in Monas. Among them, the procession of sending Eid from the Mayor to the Acting Governor, lenong performances, and so on.

"The last event was held in 2019 and was stopped due to Covid-19. Thank God, this year, we can hold the Betawi people's traditional activities again," he added.

According to him, it would be enlivened by various Betawi art and culinary performances. Hence, he invited Betawian people and the wider community in Greater Jakarta to celebrate the event.

"Let's celebrate and make Lebaran Betawi successful, the local wisdom tradition of the Betawian people," he stated.
