Let's Enliven Martial Arts Traditional Festival at Cultural Arts Training Center, West Jakarta

The West Jakarta Culture Sub-agency is about to hold the Martial Arts Traditional Festival (FSPST) at Cultural Arts Training Center (PPSB), Jalan KH Usman Perak, Jalan Rama Raya, Persada Sayang Housing Complex, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district.

This aims to preserve the traditional Betawi arts of martial art

West Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head, Ahmad Syaropi said FSPST will be held on June 3-4, 2023, starting at 9 AM - finish.

"This aims to preserve the traditional Betawi arts of martial art," he expressed, Sunday (5/28).

Until now, there have been around 34 traditional martial art schools. They are Cingkrik, Pusaka Djakarta, Beksi, Seliwa, and Troktok which have registered to take part in FSPST next week.

The requirements for participating in the event are participants aged 11-30 and having a West Jakarta ID Card. There are five categories that will be contested namely, men's singles, women's singles, men's pairs, women's pairs, and groups where each group contains three to four people.

"The number of participants is expected to increase. The total prize prepared is Rp 185,500,000," he stated.
