This award is one of the activities initiated by the National Islamic Financial Economic Committee (KNEKS) in a bid to give appreciation to provincial governments who have initiatives to develop sharia economic potential in their regions.
Jakarta Acting Governor, Budi Hartono said the awarding of the Adinata Syariah Award showed the Jakarta Government's commitment to developing the sharia economy and finance in Jakarta, as well as supporting the KNEKS work program.

Adinata Syariah Award 2023 received by Jakarta in 2023:
a. 2nd Place in Green and Sustainable Economy Category
b. 2nd Place in Halal Industry Category
c. 2nd Place in Sharia Business Incubation Program Category
d. 3rd Place in Sharia Microfinance Category
e. 4th Place in Sharia Social Finance Category
f. 4th Place in Special Zone Category (halal, safe and healthy culinary zone)
As for the information, the 2023 Adinata Syariah Award is given as a form of appreciation to the provincial government for making Islamic economic sectors a source of new economic growth at the provincial level. It is expected to increase the leadership role of the provincial government in developing sharia economic and financial potential according to local wisdom in their respective regions.
The Adinata Syariah Award was held at the BSI Tower on Friday (5/26) by the Vice President, Ma'ruf Amin; Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani; and Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno. The award for the Jakarta Government was received by Economy and Finance Assistant, Sri Haryati and accompanied by Economy and Finance Bureau Head, Mochammad Abbas, who represented the Acting Governor.
In this activity, the Vice President said that the role of regional leaders, especially at the provincial level, is crucial in directing economic development policies that can explore and optimize each leading sector of the Islamic economy.
"The award winners are expected to become a reference, as well as motivation for provincial governments in developing Islamic economics and finance through policies that are relevant to the conditions and potential of their respective regions," he explained.
