Sunrise Beach will Soon Have Public Toilets

The Seribu Islands Public Housing and Settlement Sub-agency is about to add some public toilet facilities in the Sunrise Beach area, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands.

We'll make this toilet permanent at the end of the beach

Seribu Islands Public Housing and Settlement Sub-agency Head, Darmawati stated public toilets were added to support the leading areas on Panggang Island. Moreover, Sunrise Beach is one of the newest marine tourism destinations in the region.

"We'll make this toilet permanent at the end of the beach. There will be three rooms, including rinse room, separate women and men's toilets," she said, Monday (6/5).

Sunrise Beach on Pramuka Island Being Beautified

She explained the toilet would have an area of 4x6 meters. The construction itself was planned to start on June 12 and is targeted to be completed around mid-September 2023.

"We have surveyed the field to measure its area. This week's plan is to start shipping materials to Pramuka Island," she expained.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanuddin positively welcomed and strongly supported the construction of public toilets at Sunrise Beach. The the toilet was deemed very useful and providing comfort for tourists.

He also had deployed six PPSU personnel to arrange the construction site.

"This is very convenient for tourists. So, for those who have finished swimming, they can rinse immediately on site," he said.
