Kwitang Dalam Market Construction Officially Begins

The Kwitang Dalam Market construction in Senen, Central Jakarta officially began on June 8, 2023. The construction was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono and the ranks of Perumda Pasar Jaya.

He hoped that the Kwitang Dalam Market could later provide benefits to the surrounding community and support the economic growth of Jakarta and its residents.

"This market can serve consumers well , control inflation, then the market in the capital city must be good," he expressed, Thursday (8/6).

He explained Perumda Pasar Jaya will inaugurate markets again this year, namely North Jakarta Cilincing Market, North Jakarta Hexagon Market, Central Jakarta Jatirawasari Market, Central Jakarta Sumur Batu Market, West Jakarta Kalideres Market, and East Jakarta Perumnas Klender Market.

"I want all traders in Perumda Pasar Jaya area to maintain cleanliness, safety, and order together. The space that has been given must be maintained to make it easier for shoppers to market," he explained.

Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director, Tri Prasetyo revealed the Kwitang Dalam Market is being built to provide benefits to the surrounding community and support the community's economy and economic growth in Jakarta. Aside that, it would be a new icon that is a masterpiece for Jakarta.

He hoped that it could be completed by the end of 2023 and is targeted to be operational in 2024.

"Hopefully, this groundbreaking will run smoothly and on time, thus the new building will benefit the surrounding community and participate in the arrangement of a better city of Jakarta," he hoped.

As for the information, the Kwitang Dalam Market stands atop an area of 1,190 square meters and is planned to be built in two floors with a total of 156 business premises with details of 93 kiosks and 63 kiosks. This market would have two floors, facilities in the form of car and motorbike parking lots, toilets, prayer room, market office, and disability access.

He explained Perumda Pasar Jaya would also conduct groundbreaking of four other markets this year namely, Central Jakarta Kombongan Market, North Jakarta Kramat Jaya Market, Central Jakarta Metro King New Market, and South Jakarta Fatmawati Block A Market.

"We also has markets that are already in the stage of implementing development which are targeted for completion in 2024, including Central Jakarta's Petojo Enclek Market, Central Jakarta's Gandaria Market, and Kramat Jati Main Market, East Jakarta," he uttered.
