Tidung Island Festival Scheduled as Annual Agenda

The festivity of Tidung Island festival which held on Saturday (3/7) completely amused hundreds of visitors. Around 60 variants of local culinary, arts and local’s game were presented.

There were various local culinary such as krupuk cue, geplak, gegodo, jepa, janda mengandang, angsrut and so on.  However celorot cake which made from sticky rice is the most favorite one for every visitors. This cake is only made once a year. That is why locals always craving for this cake, they tried to grab it.

The festival will be held annually, even though it has not been determined permanently. Regent of Seribu Islands, Tri Joko Sri Margiyanto said so.

“ Visitors is increasing since the Love Bridge in Tidung Island which completely built in 2008 been shared to social media ,” he uttered, Sunday (3/8).

In 2009-2010, the amount of both domestic and foreign visitors reached 2,000 people. The number hikes to 3 million people from 2014-2015.

He hoped either characteristic or attractiveness in Tidung Island are maintained well due to impact of globalization.
