Pemprov DKI Olah Sampah di TPST Bantargebang Menjadi Nilai Jual

Jakarta Transformes Garbage at Bantargebang TPST Into Selling Points

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono released 20 trucks carrying 80 tons of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) products from the Bekasi Bantargebang Integrated Waste Treatment Site (TPST), West Java, Monday (6/27).

Jakarta has abolished the tipping fee concept

PT Indocement Tunggal Perkasa Tbk and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia (SBI) purchased the results of separating urban solid waste between the flammable and non-combustible fractions.

According to him, the Jakarta Provincial Government keeps working on processing waste into useful end products. RDF processing is one of the efforts to reduce waste tonnage in Jakarta.

Collaborating with PLN, City Turns Waste into Renewable Energy

"Jakarta Government doesn't incur any other costs apart from investing in the equipment that we are here for today. So, Jakarta has abolished the tipping fee concept, which can be used for City Budget (APBD) for other needs," he explained.

He explained the Jakarta Government get income from the sale of RDF. The income could increase investment or maintain the Bantargebang TPST location. The ultimate goal of processing RDF results is to reduce the waste load in Jakarta and Bantargebang.

"This is purely a buying and selling system. There are goods, quality, weigh, pay, go to local revenue (PAD). When he entered the truck again, he counted it again. The quality was checked, if it didn't match the quality I wanted, it would be processed again," he uttered.

Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto stated there is no contract value going on, but it is delivery value.

"So, we send it to PT Indocement 625 tons per day and to SBI 75 tons of RSF per day, so it's not the rupiah contract value. And later purchased by Indocement and SBI with a minimum price of 24 USD. So, we will get revenue from selling this RDF," he stated.
