Kombongan Market Has Disability-Friendly Concept

Perumda Pasar Jaya inaugurated the commencement of the Kombongan Market construction at Jalan Bungur Besar XVII, RT 13/01, Gunung Sahari Selatan UrbanVillage, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, which will be built with a friendly concept for persons with disabilities.

Apart from accessibility, there will also be toilets that are made friendly for people with disabilities

Perumda Pasar Jaya Acting President Director, Aristianto expressed the Kombongan market is built with a disability-friendly concept to bring equality in Jakarta and convenience for all.

"Apart from accessibility, there will also be toilets that are made friendly for people with disabilities," he expressed, after a groundbreaking procession for construction of Kombongan Market, Thursday (7/13).

Two New Disability-Friendly JPOs Now Open to the Public

He explained the market itselt is built on a 2,662-square-meter land. It will be built on two floors by providing 197 business premises consisting of 150 kiosks and 47 stalls.

"This market is prioritized for existing traders. It is targeted for completion in the 2nd quarter of 2024," he explained.

He went on to say that there will be several supporting facilities such as parking lots, toilets, prayer rooms, and market offices.

"We're committed to keeping the markets in Jakarta clean, safe and comfortable," he continued.

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Chaidir appreciated Pasar Jaya for building Pasar Kombongan Market and other markets in Jakarta, especially Central Jakarta with a disabled-friendly concept.

"This market will provide comfort for all groups. To attract people to shop, the market must be clean, safe, comfortable, and orderly," uttered.

He added the Kombongan Market would make it easier for people to shop for their daily needs.

"Hopefully, people's purchasing power will increase and the market will move dynamically for the better. Then, the existence of this market can boost the empowerment and economy of the local community," he stated
