Traffic in Cengkareng Hospital Area will Soon Be Diverted

The West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency is planning traffic diversion in the area around Cengkareng Hospital.

It is done to speed up the pace of ambulances

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic and Transportation Division Head, Indarto said the traffic diversion plan will be held in the near future at the request of Cengkareng Hospital.

"It is done to speed up the pace of ambulances and private vehicles that want to enter or take patients for treatment at Cengkareng Hospital," he expressed, Friday (7/28).

He explained it was focused on the roads on the east and south sides of Cengkareng Hospital, which so far were for two directions, they would be applied to one way. Then, around the bridge and the intersection near Cengkareng Hospital would also be closed using a barrier.

To smoothen it, his party had held meetings with Satpol PP, Bina Marga Sub-agency, Cengkareng Hospital, West Jakarta Police Traffic Unit, and other related parties. Including discussing the existence of street vendors and vehicle parking, which is rampant in the area to the point where it causes traffic jams.

"Besides traffic diversion on the east side of the road, we also asked for bus stops to be built to accommodate public transport users to make them more orderly," he explained.

Cengkareng RSUD Marketing and Public Relations Executing Unit Coordinator, Aris Pribadi expressed his party submitted a traffic diversion proposal in a bid to provide acceleration and ease of access for the community to get health services and not be disturbed by the existence of street vendors and the rampant parking of vehicles.

"We also ask for bus stops to be built for the convenience of employees and the public while waiting for public transportation," he stated.
