Dishub to Apply Traffic Diversion Amid MRT Phase 2 Project

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is about to apply traffic diversion following the continuation of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase 2 project which starts from February 12-June 15, 2023.

Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo said the traffic diversion would be implemented starting from Jalan MH. Thamrin Monas Fountain Roundabout (Patung Kuda) to Bundaran Hotel Indonesia MRT Station.

"This policy is implemented, as there will be power blender work to improve soil stability, barrier dining work for the construction of a dining diaphragm on the West-South island, jet grouting work for soil reinforcement, king post installation on the West side, and decking installation on the East side," he said, Wednesday (2/11).

He urged road users to reschedule trips in order to avoid traffic jams. Or they could use an alternative route as a solution.

Here are routes that apply traffic diversion:

1. Traffic from the east of Jalan Kebon Sirih to the west (Tanah Abang), which originally crossed the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih -Jalan M.H Thamrin Tugu Jam will be diverted to turn left at Bundaran Hotel Indonesia

2. Traffic from the east of Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan to the west (Tanah Abang), which previously crossed the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin Tugu Jam will be diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis and so on

3. Traffixc from the east Jalan K.H. Wahid Hasyim to the west (Tanah Abang), which previously crossed the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin Tugu Jam will be diverted to K.H Wahid Hasyim and so on

4. Traffic from the south of Jalan H. Agus Salim to the west (Tanah Abang), which previously crossed the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin Tugu Jam will be diverted to turn left via K. H. Wahid Hasyim and so on

5. 5M Transjakarta route (Kampung Melayu - Tanah Abang Bus Terminal), which originally crossed the Intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H Thamrin Tugu Jam will be diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis and so on

6. Transjakarta Route 1R (Senen - Tanah Abang Bus Terminal), which originally crossed the Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin Tugu Jam will be diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis and so on
