5,846 Teachers Inducted as P3K Employees Today

The Jakarta Provincial Government is gradually inducting 5,846 teachers as Government Employees with Work Agreements (P3K).

As quoted by Beritajakarta.id, the induction procession for session I was attended by 1,466 teachers. The induction and taking of the oath/pledge was chaired directly by City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono in the Jakarta City Hall's courtyard, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

According to him, those who were appointed could give their best performance as educators to educate the nation's children.

"I congratulate you. Instill the vows and promises that have been spoken as guidance to run the task as well as possible," he expressed, Friday (7/28).

They should be able to quickly adapt to the work environment and learn the duties and functions of community service, especially in the field of education.

"And also add insight related to applicable regulations and laws. Mainly related to discipline, the core value of having morals. Make these values and rules a guideline for carrying out work duties and functions," he explained.

Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) Head, Maria Qibtya uttered the induction itself was based on the stipulation of NI P3K Formation/2022 by the Head of Regional V Office of National Civil Service Agency (BKN).

"For the first session, 1,466 teachers were inducted at 8 AM. Then 2,190 will be inducted in the second session at 2 PM, and 2,190 will be inducted in the third session at 4 PM," she stated.

She explained the term of the teachers' work agreement lasted three years and could be extended again.

"If P3K has reached a certain age limit for teacher functional positions, namely 60 years, termination of employment can be conducted," she explained.

As for one of the teachers at SMAN 66, Kornelis Ruben admitted that he was very happy and grateful to be appointed as P3K.

"I have served as an educator for 15 years. I'm happy that I can become a first aid, hopefully my welfare will increase and it will motivate me to work even better," he stated.
