Acting Governor Instructs BKD to Soon Fill Empty Posts in Jakarta Provincial Government

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono instructed Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Head, Maria Qibtya to immediately fill all vacant positions within the Jakarta Government. Acceleration of the placement of definitive officials is to encourage services to the community to be more optimal.

According to him, in the near future, the Jakarta BKD can quickly and swiftly fill the vacant position with definitive officials, but still do it according to the rules. That is according to the provisions, for the inauguration must obtain approval from State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN), State Civil Service Agency (BKN), and Home Ministry.

"I asked BKD to immediately process the filling of vacant positions and they must be processed, filled and inducted as soon as possible," he said to journalists in Jakarta, Friday (6/9).

He also hoped that by accelerating the placement of definitive officials, the bureaucracy performance within the Jakarta Government could spur better development programs in the context of realizing Jakarta as a global-scale business city.

"Filling in empty positions must be in accordance with laws and regulations by fulfilling the principles of talent management and a merit system in managing ASN under the Jakarta Government. It is necessary to immediately bid according to the rules. I instructed BKD to speed up this process," he asserted.

As for the information, it is not the first time a vacancy has occurred in Jakarta, this is due to State Civil Apparatus (ASN) entering retirement and transferring to another work area, thus currently this position is being filled by an executor.

Previously, the Jakarta Government opened opportunities for ASN throughout Indonesia who met the requirements to register and take part in the Open Selection for Pratama (Echelon II) High Leadership Positions within the Jakarta Government.

It was conveyed through Announcement Number 3/2023 on Open Selection for Primary High Leadership Positions in the Jakarta Government Environment, dated May 22, 2023. City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono said that the person who would later occupy the position had good competence and capability.

"We have a lot of human resources, it's just a competition so we can get the best, right and competent," he uttered on Sunday (5/14).
