S.Jakarta Administration to Mark Area with Highest DBD Cases

Jakarta Provincial Government continues to reduce and prevent the spread of dengue fever disease in capital. In South Jakarta, each sub-district with the highest dengue cases every month will be marked with placards.

So, the sub-district with the highest dengue cases will be given trophy or placards

 

"So, the sub-district with the highest dengue cases will be given trophy or placards," said Yudhita Endah, South Jakarta Health Sub-Department Head, Saturday (3/14).

Not only the highest, Endah continued, the sub-district with lowest cases will also receive special placards. "The area with highest cases will get red trophy, while the lowest will get green trophy. We should do this because we want create cooperation to eradicate the disease," she explained.

 

Endah added, the reward will be also applied at urban village level using banners. "We had asked the Sub-District Head to create warning banner for the urban village with highest cases and evaluate it every weeks," added Endang.

 

As known, the disease which is caused by aedes aegypti mosquito has become a particular concern. In South Jakarta, 343 cases already occurred until March 12.
