Good luck on duty, good achievements, and happy studying

The troops raising the heritage flag will be on duty at the Indonesia Independence Day's 78th Anniversary on Thursday (8/17) at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta.

To the Paskibraka members consisting of 21 men and 21 women, the Acting Governor advised them to be enthusiastic in carrying out the honorable mandate given by the Jakarta Government to raise the red-white flag.

"A special message, good luck on duty, good achievements, and happy studying," he said when being accompanied by Jakarta Welfare Secretary Assistant Widyastuti, Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Head, Andriyansyah, and Jakarta Education Agency Acting Head, Syaefuloh Hidayat.

The Jakarta Government would hold events to celebrate Indonesia's 78th anniversary. One thing that is special is the procession of the carnival to paraded historical objects such as the original proclamation text and the red-white heritage flags.

"On Thursday, at 6.30 AM, there will be a ceremony at Monas. Afterward, all employees present will take part in a solemn procession from the National Monument to the State Palace," he explained.

For the kirab or parade troops, participants were from various elements of society, starting from students to women in kebaya. The Kirab is also enlivened by golden carriage horses which will add to the liveliness of the event.

No less interesting, after the flag lowering ceremony, the Jakarta Government has prepared various exciting events and surprises to entertain the public entitled Gemilang Silang Monas.

"There is community entertainment at 6.30 PM at Monas, one of which is video mapping until 9 PM and it is open to the public," he stated.
