Attending Folk Party, Acting Governor Glad Penjaringan City Forest can Be of Benefit to Residents

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, accompanied by North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim, attended the Folk Party event in a bid to celebrate Indonesia's 78th Anniversary held by the Jayakarta Regional Military Command, at Penjaringan City Forest, North Jakarta, Sunday (8/20) .

At that time, the Acting Governor was welcomed by Pangdam Jaya Commander, Maj. Gen. TNI Mohammad Hasan and Polda Metro Jaya Chief, Insp. Gen. Karyoto. He appreciated and was proud that the Penjaringan City Forest, or better known as Kalijodo, could be put to good use for the common good.

"I would like to thank Pangdam Jaya, to the chief because this city park can be put to positive use. This is because about 14 years ago, this location was a location that had been poorly maintained. Afterward, we put it in order, then built parks and city forests, which cover an area of about four hectares," he expressed.

Jakarta Keeps Trying to Reduce Air Pollution in Capital City

Pangdam Jaya Commander, Maj. Gen. TNI Mohammad Hasan as the organizer explained that the Folk Party is entertainment in nature to commemorate the Indonesia's independence day. He wanted the public to be happy and participate by being present at Penjaringan City Park.

"The point is we organize this party by involving the community. We carry out 15 activities and focus on this park, on the river, and in several places that involve the community. We want people to be happy and share in the joy of commemorating this Independence Day," he explained.

Aside that, it is also an event to strengthen the synergy between the three pillars of Jakarta Forkopimda, which consists of Jakarta Government, Kodam Jaya, and Polda Metro Jaya. He emphasized, the three pillars wanted this collaboration to also have an impact on people who needed assistance.

"We are surely also increasing the synergy between TNI, police, and regional government, thus we are all united and synergized to maintain the stability and security of Jakarta," he stated.
