Munjirin Inspects Connecting Channel Construction Site

Hopefully, all development projects will be completed on time

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin inspected the construction site for channels and pump houses that are currently undergoing in his area.

According to him, the inspection this time is part of the steps to prepare for weather changes considering that it is predicted that the rainy season will enter next month.

"We can see that the South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency has built a channel, which is a priority for handling inundation," he expressed, Wednesday (8/30).

His party also simultaneously checks the readiness of the water pump house in moving or increasing the water discharge and adjusting the water level.

At that time, the SDA Sub-agency was instructed to accelerate the work, including coordinating with the South Jakarta Parks and Forests and the Bina Marga sub-agencies.

"For instance, during the construction process, there are trees or sidewalks that are affected, so do coordination. So, the construction is fast and no one is harmed," he stated.

South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Santo explained the six locations being inspected today included the construction and improvement of the Pulo River's Connecting Channel (Phb), Jati Padang, Pasar Minggu.

Then was the construction of the Kalibata Timur crossing channel, Pancoran continued with the construction and improvement of the Asem Baris Phb, Tebet, including the construction of the Adam Malik crossing channel and channel repair on Jalan Bunga Lili, Pesanggrahan, and Setiabudi Timur Pump House, Setiabudi.

"Hopefully, all development projects will be completed on time and run without a hitch," he hoped.
