Seribu Islands Opens Cultural Arts Training to Public

The Seribu Islands Culture Agencyhas started opening arts and culture training in public spaces spread across six sub-districts starting from September 11-15, 2023.

In every sub-district, we have three training materials such as batik, theater, handicrafts, martial arts, and Gambang Kromong (Betawi traditional music)

Utilization and Development Section Head, Triyadi Purnomo said arts and culture training is opened in RPTRAs, green open spaces (RTH), community halls, and other public spaces.

"In every sub-district, we have three training materials such as batik, theater, handicrafts, martial arts, and Gambang Kromong (Betawi traditional music)," he expressed, Monday (9/11).

North Jakarta Culture Sub-department Opens 12 Cultural Art Classes

From six sub-districts, 625 people had registered, with detailed of 93 from Tidung Island, 86 from Untung Jawa Island.

Then, 79 from Panggang Island, 139 from Kelapa Island, 129 from Harapan Island, and 99 from Pari Island.

"It is open to the public, from various levels of society, from children to adults. Our target is 75 people," he explained.

It was aimed to improve knowledge, arts, and culture skills, including introduce traditional arts. During the training, his party presented professional instructors.

"The results of this training will be evaluated. Participants who are already proficient or have mastered the material will enter a competition," he said.
