Central Jakarta Mayor Officially Opens Theater Festival 2023

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, opened the Theater Festival 2023 at the Miss TjiTjih Arts Building, Jalan Gang Kabel Pendek VI, Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Monday (9/11).

Central Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Acting Head, Dya Perwita Kusuma said the theater festival presents a performance from 10 theater studios.

Camp Broadway Indonesia to Show Mainstage JakartaThose 10 theater studios are Fitrah Theater, Salindia Theater, Kantong Theater, Pedala Theater, Stallion Theater, Cakrawala Theater, Anala Theater, Weekend Theater, Akar Teras Theater, and Sapta Theater.
Each studio has one hour to show their best performance. They will be assessed by juries from the Central Jakarta Theater Association, Oplet Robet, and Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ).
The assessment itself includes vocals, appreciation, character technique, stage mastery, performance, and script flow.
"Those who perform have been curated by us together with the Central Jakarta Theater Association (ATAP). The theme of this festival is Telik Sandi," she expressed.
The festival gets appreciation from Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma. He assessed, it is an opportunity to showcase the skills of theater artists to perform their best work.
"I see it looks good. Hopefully, besides at the city level, our artists can also work at the provincial and national levels," he stated.
