North Jakarta Now Has 200 Green Alleys

Urban farming is an initiative that allows city dwellers to cultivate plants. By maximizing the use of available land, urban farmers can produce local food sustainably.

Like the North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) which continues to activate the green alley program. To this day, there have been recorded to be 200 green alley locations spread across six sub-districts, North Jakarta.
Agriculture and Food Security Division Head, Gusti Arvianty expressed during January to the end of August 2023, as many as 30 green alley locations were realized. It increased the previous number of green alleys by 170.
Hydroponic Cultivation Has Great Potential in Jakarta"This year, we added 30 locations. So, in total, there are around 200 locations spread across six sub-districts," she said, Wednesday (9/20).
To intensify green alley program, her party distributed some plant seeds along with equipment, planting media, and fertilizer. Then, residents in that location were also included in training in urban farming with limited land.
She explained those 30 green alley locations were Jalan Bak Air I, RW 13 Tanjung Priok Urban Village; Alley Lurus RT 07/06 Kebon Bawang Urban Village; Jalan Gembira Terusan RT 11/07 Sungai Bambu Urban Village; Jalan Warakas V Alley 2 RT 04; and RT 05/RW 08 Warakas Urban Village; Jalan Papanggo III Alley Ramayana RT 01/05 Sunter Agung Urban Village and Jalan Sunter Muara Tengah 1 RT 01/05 Sunter Agung Urban Village in Tanjung Priok Sub-district.
Then RT 02/02 Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village; Alley Perintis 1 RT 01/04 Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village; and Jalan Rawa Sengon II Block B RT 02/22 Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village in Kelapa Gading Sub-district. Then, Jalan Budi Mulia RT 02/11 Pademangan Barat Urban Village; Kampung Lodan RT 04/01 Ancol Urban Village; and Jalan Pademangan 2 Alley 13 RT 10/05 Pademangan Timur Urban Village in Pademangan Urban Village.
And also Jalan Tipar Selatan Semper Barat Urban Village; Alley RT 04/07 Cilincing Urban Village; Jalan Malaka Jaya III RT 04/11 Rorotan Urban Village; Alley Lestari RT 01/10 Sukapura Urban Village; Jalan Kebantenan 2 RT 03/02 Semper Timur Urban Village; and Jalan Sungai Tiram Alley Abdurohim RT 08/04 Marunda Urban Village in Cilincing Sub-district.

As for Koja Sub-district, there were Jalan Muncang Blok N Alley 2 RT 07/11 Lagoa Urban Village; Jalan Sindang Pulo Lorong R RT 11/09 Koja Urban Village, Jalan Lontar IV RT 12/04 Tugu Utara Urban Village; Alley Saian RT 09/02 Tugu Selatan Urban Village; Jalan Cibanteng IV RW 07 Rawabadak Utara Urban Village; and Jalan Plumpang B Alley W RT 13 and 15/RW 04 Rawabadak Selatan Urban Village.
"We realized everything at the end of last August. In the future, we will continue to provide assistance," she stated.
