Kebayoran Baru RSUD Presents Innovation in Pharmacy Services

Kebayoran Baru Regional Hospital, South Jakarta tries to improve health services to the community by implementing pharmaceutical service innovations.

Kebayoran Baru RSUD Medical Support Section Head, Sari Asriningrum said pharmaceutical service innovation was implemented through the e-prescription medicine service corner.

It is presented to provide convenience for patients in terms of queuing when taking medicines, drug delivery services, and drug education via barcodes.

"We prioritize making it easier for patients to choose to take medicine via queue or have it delivered to their home," she expressed, Wednesday (9/27).

She explained its existence had proven to be able to reduce patient waiting time in the pharmacy unit by more than 8.6 minutes. This service corner also increased the efficiency of using paper (prescription books) by 75 percent from 60 to 15 books per month.

This innovative service could be followed by other Type D hospitals in Jakarta, thus the community will feel that they have been served optimally.

Rina Septiani (48), a resident of Kebayoran Baru appreciated this innovation in pharmaceutical services because it was deemed to make things very easy for patients, especially when registering to take medicines to receive medicines.

"Very helpful. The process is simple, just register via handphone," she stated.
