Seven Urban Villages in Jakarta Flooded

Heavy rain that poured Jakarta and its surrounding areas since Friday night, causing overflowing waters in some rivers. It caused seven urban villages flooded with water level 20-150 cm.

From five cities, only West Jakarta does not flooded. This is caused by overflowing rivers

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, a number of sluice gates are still showing on alert III and II status. An officer of the Emergency Operation Command Center (Pusdalops) for Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Suratman expressed rain has flooded seven urban villages that spread in Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta, except West

"From five cities, only West Jakarta does not flooded. This is caused by overflowing rivers,” he stated, Saturday (3/21).

Those seven urban villages are Tanah Abang (30-60 cm), Pondok Labu (100 cm), Petogogan (100-150cm), Ulujami (50 cm), Bangka (30-150 cm), Kampung Melayu (20-150 cm), and Pejagalan (50-60 cm).

Meanwhile, Suratman reported, until 9 PM, as many as six sluice gates are still on alert III status. They are Manggarai (775 cm), Krukut Hulu (165 cm), Cipinang Hulu (175 cm) Sunter Hulu (150 cm), Pulo Gadung (550 cm) and Pasar Ikan (180 cm).

As for the sluice gate that shows on alert II status, are Karet (540 cm). Then other sluices are normal or showing on alert IV status, such as Katulampa (40 cm), Depok (150 cm), Pesanggrahan (110 cm), Angke Hulu (125 cm) and Pluit Dam (190 cm).
