Here are Efforts by Kembangan Selatan to Face the Upcoming Rainy Season

The Kembangan Selatan Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district, West Jakarta continues to make various efforts to anticipate the impact of the rainy season.

Kembangan Selatan Urban Village Head, Pradana Putra said, in his region, there were areas prone to inundation due to the overflow of the Pesanggrahan River at RT 08/01 and 12/03, as well as Angke River at RT 01, 02, 03, 04, and 05/RW 09.

"We've intensified the cleaning of water channels and storm drains through PPSU personnel. We also plan to alert 128 personnel to anticipate flooding," he expressed, Thursday (11/9).

His party also collaborated with the Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) to provide training and disaster mitigation for PPSU. The material provided included setting up tents at evacuation sites and educating PPSU personnel on handling residents affected by flooding.

His party had also prepared two rubber boats and evacuation locations such as in RT 01 - 05/RW 09 area, as well as in RT 08/01 and 12/03.

"We also have urban village and sub-district WhatsApp groups with related OPDs to disaster management. Currently, in flood-prone areas, we also carry out cleanup action to clean the environment every week," he stated.
