Dogs Secured In A Raid As Rabies Prevention

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) continues to intensively hold raid of wild dog. This raid is aimed to anticipate spread of rabies infection, one of which are transmitted through the bite a dog.
This is response to citizen complaint about wild dogs rampantly in their residence vicinity
Raid conducted on Jalan Rajawali Selatan 1, North Gunung Sahari Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Thursday (3/26). As a result, the officers succeed to seize 8 dogs to laboratory of Ragunan Veterinary Hospital in South Jakarta to be quarantined and checked.
Relaying on beritajakarta.com observation, the officers caught them by using net. All of them immediately carried to operational unit that had been prepared.

This is response to citizen complaint about wild dogs rampantly in their residence vicinity ,” said Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-Department, Mulyadi.During January-March, his side succeed to raid 50 dogs out of 8 urban villages in Central Jakarta.
“Most of them are in Sawah Besar. We secured 18 dogs,” Mulyadi added.
According to him, the raid is already in accordance with bylaw No.11/1995 related to Animals Monitoring and Prevention of Rabies in capital.
