Jakarta Holds Mass Cleanup Action in Anticipation of Rainy SeasonShe hoped that it could be a routine agenda once a week. By so, it would trigger residents to clean up their neighborhoods by not littering, especially in the micro and macro channels.
"Anticipatory steps to prevent flooding need to be taken together. Not only the SDA Dept. with its main duties, but also the community," she explained.
With this action, it would minimize flooding and also make Jakarta cleaner, neater, and more beautiful.
"This is also important for our health," she explained.
She added it could also further cultivate the spirit of mutual cooperation, which is usually starting to fade in metropolitan cities.
"And this is very good, as it can strengthen the relationship between executives, the legislatives, regional leadership forums and residents, RT/RW administrators and residents, as well as between residents themselves, thus they get to know each other better and get along better. Very positive," she asserted.
