PT Transjakarta Provides Assistance to 235 Stunted Toddlers in East Jakarta

PT Transjakarta provided assistance to 235 stunted toddlers in the Makasar and Kramat Jati sub-districts, East Jakarta, Tuesday (12/12).

Make sure that for 60 days the child consumes nutritious food

Assistance in the form of cash amounting to Rp 282 million converted into additional nutritious food was symbolically handed over by PT Transjakarta Managing Director, Welfizon Yuza to East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar at the Kampung Pulo Asri RPTRA, Pinang Ranti.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to PT Transjakarta for caring about and helping to overcome stunting in its area, especially in Makasar and Kramat Jati sub-districts.

He also urged parents of stunted toddlers to continuously pay attention and ensure that the assistance provided is consumed by their children.

"Make sure that for 60 days the child consumes nutritious food, not let it be enjoyed by the parents. We'll see the progress in a week," he expressed.

If there is no progress within a week, and the toddler's weight has not increased, immediately consult a doctor at the Community Health Center to determine, whether there are other illnesses or not.

"I ask PKK and Dasawisma cadres to routinely monitor toddlers every day to consume nutritious food assistance," he added.

PT Transjakarta Director, Welfizon Yuza explained his party was committed to supporting the Jakarta Government's program in handling stunting. This time, his party provided financial assistance to overcome stunting for 235 toddlers in Makassar and Kramat Jati sub-districts.

"This aid had previously been distributed through the East Jakarta Baznas Bazis for Makassar and Kramat Jati sub-districts. Today is a symbolic handover with East Jakarta Mayor and his staff," he explained.

Hopefully, this program was sustainable and brought benefits in improving community welfare. Especially in handling children's food and nutrition, thus the problem of stunting can be overcome quickly.

"We'll continue to work together in implementing and supporting the Jakarta Government's program to overcome stunting," he asserted.
