Joint Personnel Clean Semanan Sinergi Urban Farming Land

Some 40 joint personnel from the West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency and PPSU were deployed to clear the Semanan Sinergi urban farming land in the Taman Semanan Indah Housing Complex, RW 08, Semanan Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-district.

This is in a bid to realize food security in Jakarta

Kalideres Sub-district Head, Wukir Prabowo expressed the cleanup action was focused on a 4,500-square-meter-wide land belongs to the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"It is done to make the land clean and beautiful, especially from wild grass," he expressed, Saturday (12/16).

His party also arranged water storage ponds for watering vegetables and loosening the soil, thus they would be ready to be replanted.

Currently, part of the land is planted with thousands of chili and onion trees.

"This is in a bid to realize food security in Jakarta," he stated.
