There are currently 4,504 Transjakarta buses serving 1.1 million customers every day.
High daily mileage reduces tire life quickly. That's why, a comprehensive tire maintenance and diagnostic system is needed to support the efficiency and quality of transportation services.
"Hopefully, this collaboration can be established well, producing profits and benefits for both companies," he explained.
PT Goodyear Indonesia Tbk President Director, Iman Santoso felt happy because he could participate in supporting Transjakarta operations from another perspective. This collaboration was established thanks to a shared vision to improve the safety factors of Transjakarta bus drivers and passengers.
"This cooperation in city buses is new for us, because the use of tires for buses between provinces and cities is different," he explained.
Based on survey results, tire maintenance costs absorb approximately 30 percent of vehicle maintenance costs. Thus, tire management capabilities will provide maximum benefits to management in developing the quality of fleet operations.
"We hope that what we provide can improve the quality of Transjakarta comfort and safety," he stated.
