The Jakarta Provincial Aids Management Commission (KPAP), held a socialization to increase HIV understanding at the Central Jakarta Library and Archives Sub-agency Office.

This comprehensive socialization was attended by dozens of athletes from the Jakarta Student Sports Training Center (PPOP).
Promotion and Prevention Division Head, Taufik Alief Fuad said the socialization aimed to provide understanding to athletes under the auspices of the Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) about the spread and prevention efforts of HIV AIDS, including erasing the negative stigma for People Living with HIV/Aids (PLHIV) in society.

In the future, they were expected to be become volunteers in disseminating information about HIV treatment and erasing negative stigma in society towards PLHIV. Thus, the target of an Aids-free Jakarta by 2027 could be achieved.
"Hope it can also be useful in improving athletes' insight and awareness of the HIV virus," he hoped.
Jakarta Dispora's Youth Sector Head, Joko Margosantoso added this socialization was very good for the athletes.
By so, athletes would have the knowledge and understanding of HIV so they could participate in preventing transmission of the disease from an early age.
