Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono visited the Student Sports Training Center (PPOP) in Ragunan, South Jakarta, Tuesday (5/23).

He, who was accompanied by Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Head, Andri Yansah, visited several points where student athletes practice, including taekwondo, weightlifting, table tennis, athletics to aquatic.

He urged his staff, especially the Dispora to always pay attention to the quality of facilities and infrastructure for supporting athlete's training performance. The Jakarta Government will carry out periodic supervision and maintenance of the buildings and infrastructure at the Student Sports Training Center.
"Please maintain the building because of the good facilities. It will encourage athletes to practice. With good facilities and infrastructure, it will motivate them to show their best action while practicing, in any sport," he explained.
He added the Jakarta Government would seek appreciation for POPNAS 2023 athletes who succeeded in making achievements and making Jakarta proud. Hopefully, the target of getting a medal could be achieved.
"Later, each winner will receive a bonus from the Jakarta Government. I heard from Dispora that each sport has its own target, especially table tennis, hopefully we can get the gold target," he stated.
