13 Schools Participated in Adiwiyata School Program

As many as 13 schools of Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), Senior High School (SMA) in West Jakarta are registered to participate in the 2015 Adiwiyata School Program which will be held in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

West Jakarta Deputy Mayor, M Yuliardi explained the program is one of the terms that should be fulfilled to achieve the Adipura Trophy in the field of cleanliness.

Meanwhile, those 13 registered schools are SD Palmerah 25, SD Jelembar 61, SD Palmerah 15, SD Cengkareng Timur 21, SD Kamal 09, SMP 82 Wijaya Kusuma, SMP 207 Srengseng, SMP 249 Cengkareng Barat, SMP 127 Kebon Jeruk, SMA 16 Slipi, SMA 33 Cengkareng Barat and SMA 57 Kedoya Utara.
Head of West Jakarta Environmental Management Agency, Rahmat explained his side is currently still socializing and accompanying such schools.
"For being an Adiwiyata school, each school must have 4 components. They are environmental policy, implementation of environment-based curriculum, participatory-based environmental activity and management of supporting friendly-environment facility," he disclosed.
