Inundation in 56 RTs Recede Completely

Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) released that inundation in 56 RTs were already recede completely by 8 AM this morning. The remaining inundation were at five RTs or 0.016 percent out of total 30,772 RTs in Jakarta.

Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji, said the inundation occurred due to medium and heavy rain that cause several rivers overflowed.

"It is reported that inundation in 56 RTs have receded completely," he said, Sunday (1/7).

His side also reported that inundation on seven roads spread in South and East Jakarta have receded completely.

"Those are Jalan Taman Kemang, Jalan Darmawangsa Raya, Jalan Gandaria V, Jalan BRI Radio Dalam, Jalan Ciledug Raya, Jalan Arteri Pondok Indah, and Jalan Jambore Ciracas," he added.

He explained that Jakarta BPBD deployed personnel to monitor inundation in each areas and cooperated with Water Resources, Bina Marga, and Fire Handling Agencies to handle the inundation together with local urban village and sub-district heads.

"We appeal to the resident to be aware with inundation. Please contact 112 for emergency situation. The service is free and operate 24 hours," he closed.
