Heru Monitors Pump House Construction on Jalan Kemang Raya

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono monitored pump house construction on Jalan Kemang Raya, Bangka, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, Thursday (1/11) morning.

The pump house is constructed in order to minimize inundation impact in Kemang area.
Heru said the pump house which is completed with three flood handling pumps is targeted to complete in March 2024.

His side also dredged Krukut River in order to minimize inundation impact in Kemang.
"Dredging Krukut River is routine maintenance done by Jakarta Water Resource Agency," he added.
Meanwhile, Acting Jakarta Water Resource Agency Head, Ika Agustin, explained her side added two 1,000 liter/s pumps and one 250 liter/s daily pump at the pump house.
"Previously, we have installed two 500 liter/s pumps. The additional pumps will minimize inundation in Kemang," she explained.
According to Ika, her side together with five sub-agencies keep dredging water channel and river.
"We also prepare 500 stationer pumps and 200 mobile pumps spread at 200 locations. All those pumps are ready to be operated," she added.
Ika is optimistic that drainage in Jakarta are ready to handle water when the rain pours about 100 millimeter
during for hours."We appeal the resident not to throw trash carelessly. So the pumps will operate optimally," she closed.
