Chili Cultivation Socialization Held at RPTRA Sunter Mas

As many as 50 participants attended the chili cultivation socialization held at RPTRA Sunter Mas, Jalan Sunter Mas Timur A, RW 08, Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta.

The socialization invited competent tutors; Bank Indonesia Urban Farming Ambassador, Sere Rohana Napitupulu and Tanjung Priok Sub-district Urban Farming Agent, Sutarno.
"It is hoped the participant will take action after this. So that in March or in fasting month we can do joint harvest," she added.
According to her, the participants were also given chili seeds. There are total 1,700 seeds came from Bank Indonesia which ere already disbursed in Tanjung Priok Sub-district in December 2023.
"After receiving the seeds, we gave them education about how to plant, maintain, and harvest the chili," she continued.
She stated that this program is important to maintain food tenacity in North Jakarta, especially in Tanjung Priok. Since the chili price is fluctuate, that is why the residents are asked to fulfill their basic needs by themselves.
Meanwhile, RPTRA Sunter Mas Coordinator, Fhiqri Ulum, admitted happy with this socialization program.
"I got new knowledge about how to plant chili correctly. It is important program for us," he admitted
