Dahlia Waste Bank Transaction Reaches Rp 26 Million

Since being operated since 2021 ago, Dahlia Waste Bank in RW 07 Cempaka Putih Barat Urban Village, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, is able to reach transaction Rp 26 million.

Waste Bank's Director, Wagiyono, the achievement achieved by his waste bank in two years because the waste bank also received used goods from resident that still had resale value such as scarp metal and electronic.

Central Jakarta to Have 30 New Waste Banks This Year

"If the other waste banks only accepting boxes, plastic bottles, and used cooking oil, we also accept electronic and scrap metal," he said, Thursday (1/11).

He added that the waste bank was built in 2014, but the operation was stopped temporarily and continued again in 2021.

His waste bank accepts various used goods savings such as clean plastic bottle priced Rp 4,000/kg, boxes Rp 1,200/kg, plastic bottle caps Rp 1,500/kg and used cooking oil Rp 4,500/liter.

The scrap metal is priced Rp 2,000/kg and electronic is Rp 100-250 thousand depends on the condition.

The customer transaction is written in saving book and will be taken ahead of feast day or new year based on the agreement.

"We still have 84 active customers. Mostly of them are resident of RW 07 Cempaka Putih Barat Urban Village," he added.

Meanwhile, Rame, one of local customers, admitted he routinely deposit used goods such as boxes, plastic bottle caps, and plastic bottle.

"I got Rp 400 thousand last year," he admitted.
