West Jakarta Prepares 2,000 Meters of Land for Planting Chilies

The West Jakarta administration has prepared a 2,000-square-meter land to plant chilies at the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency Complex, Jalan Joglo Raya, Joglo Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district.

Kembangan Sub-district Head, Joko Suparno said the land is currently being prepared to plant chili trees by clearing the land of grass and wild trees.

"We send 25 PPSU personnel to clear the land before planting chili trees," he expressed, Tuesday (1/16).

According to him, he was intensively planting chili trees in his area to support the program of the Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono.

He added clearing the land from wild grass and trees had been carried out since last week. Next, on January 19, 2024, as many as 2,000 chili trees will be planted, where the seeds of which will come from the West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency.

"Hopefully, the use of this land will be beneficial for residents," he added.

Kartini (49), a resident of Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Complex on Jalan Joglo Raya, positively welcomed the plan to plant thousands of chili tree seedlings using empty land in his residential area.

“Using empty land to plant chili trees is very good. Moreover, the harvest will also be useful for the residents," he stated.
