East Jakarta City Administration prepares several strategies to anticipate disaster during rainy season this year.

East Jakarta City Secretary, Kusmanto, said one of the strategies is preparing personnel as well as supporting facilities in each sub-agency. The sub-agencies are Water Resource, Social, and Fire Handling and Rescue.

According to him, anticipation strategy is needed since East Jakarta has several areas that are prone to inundation caused by water channel or river overflowing.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Head of Disaster Prevention and Preparedness for BPBD, Herry Gunara, stated his side is ready to assist East Jakarta City Administration if disaster happens.
He also appealed that the supporting facilities distributed to urban villages to be taken care well.
"We are already placing personnel in urban villages, sub-districts and mayor offices. We always standby for 24 hours," he closed.
