The Central Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime, Agriculture (KPKP) Agency targets to vaccine 5,681 prone to rabies animals this year.

Herawati, Agency's Head Section of Animal Husbandry and Health, said the first vaccination program this year is held two days at RW 03 and 04 Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Tanah Abang.

According to her, the program targets pets such as cat, dog, monkey, and weasel. The program is free of charge.
The program is started from 9 AM to 12 PM. Her side also has cooperated with local RT/RW to socialize the program to the residents.
"This year target is 5,681 animals," she admitted.
Meanwhile, Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti explained the program will remain be held up to December 2024 gradually in Kampung Bali, Kebon Melati and Kebon Kacang Urban Village.
"It is hoped the residents will participate in the program to maintain Jakarta free from rabies," she said.
