Vendors in Pisangan Lama 2 Prohibited to Sell in the Afternoon

Starting on Monday (4/6), street vendors in Pisangan Lama 2, Pisangan Timur, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, prohibited to open stalls at noon. The policy itself is a mutual agreement between East Jakarta Administration and vendors. In reality, it is ignored by some, whereas they only allowed to open stall at 6 PM- 6 AM.

They should obey our rule as they was given the time to sell at night

Pulogadung Sub-District Head, Ahmad Haryadi stated Jalan Pisangan Lama 2 is actually already under control in the afternoon. If the street vendors are still opening their stall, they will be sanctioned.

 

250 Stalls of Street Vendors In Tanah Abang Controlled

"Certainly, the road is already sterile from vendors," said Ahmad Haryadi, Monday (4/6). 

According to him, his side will give a stern warning by closing down the stall if the vendors still recklessly selling in the afternoon. On Tuesday (4/7), his side will back to monitor the location by sending one team consisting of 10 personnel from Satpol PP.

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana asserted the vendors should obey the rule. According to him, local sub-district and urban village heads have been wise and prudent in taking a decision. Thus the vendors can still sell and the existing vendors in Enjo Market can also sell. 

"They should obey our rule as they was given the time to sell at night. The policy is conducted in order to make the area stay clean, arranged neatly," he asked.
