A 2,700 Square Meter Land Next to Cipayung RSUD will Be Planted with Chili

The 2,700 square meter empty land next to Cipayung Regional Hospital (RSUD), Jalan Mini III, Bambu Apus, Cipayung, East Jakarta will be used as parking lot and planted with chili and other vegetables.

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, said the land was previously occupied with illegal building. The back-side contour is lower and suitable for urban farming. while the parking lot will on the front side.

"The land is ready to be planted for urban farming. It can be planted with chili and other vegetables," he said, Tuesday (1/23).  

According to him, the plants are prepared by East Jakarta Food Tenacity Maritime and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency. For the first stage, there will be 500 chili seeds and other plants to be planted next week.

"It is hoped the plants can be harvested ahead of Eid ul Fitr," he added.

Meanwhile, Cipayung RSUD Public Relation, Semuel Tambunan, admitted the land has been managed for planting since a week ago by PPSU personnel.

"The land is ready to be planted. While the upper side will be used for parking lot," he stated.
